Kalymnos is the fourth largest island of the Dodecanese, 111 sq. km with a coastline of 96 km, and population of 16,000, situated very close to the island of Kos only 7 nm north-west.

Kalymnos is unique, with its own qualities and strong Greek Traditional Culture once you visit you will be hooked and wanting to come back for more.

The Kalymnian landscape is rocky with majestic mountain slopes fragrant with thyme, sage and oregano which will stimulate you taste buds, also essential ingredient in our delicious honey for which the island is famous. Vathy is our fertile valley with lush vegetation including oranges, lemons, figs, and much more local produce.

Kalymnos is best known as the home of the sponge divers, and the nautical heritage and history, plus culture of the island is noticeable in its town and villages. The industry is still a big part of life here today and sponges are exported across the world.
