Myrties is a truly picturesque seaside hamlet that has grown to a small resort, a sight worth seeing, set against a backdrop of impressive cliffs. The views of the island of Telendos are spectacular any time in the day, deep blue sky and seas in the day, changing to the oranges and reds sunsets in the evening and the reflection of the islands lights in the calm waters in the dark makes it one of the most beautiful sights on the island.
Myrties has its own little harbour where you can watch the fishermen bringing in the catch of the day – this being very likely to end up on your plate at dinner time. From a small jetty at the end of the beach you can catch the boat to the neighboring islands Telendos and Leros. The sand/shingle beach offers sunbeds to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Make a point of visiting Melitsacha – It is a beautiful small sandy beach in quite bay. A favourite with many of the locals.
